I hope that this site can grow and evolve into something that all fans of the club can dip into and find a piece of information that they're looking for. Perhaps not the meaning of life, but maybe the number of games that Nicky Southall made for Pools, or the number of goals that Damian Henderson scored in blue and white.
I hope you enjoy the information about your club.
8th May 2010 - Pools survive last day agony.
Pools failed to take all three points at Brentford, but the 0-0 draw was enough to keep them up on goal difference from Gillingham. A difficult season overall, not helped by the admin cock-up over Liddle's suspension, but at least we've ended the 2009-10 season ahead of the bottom 4. Hopefully changes in personel over the summer will ensure that we don't have to look anxiously over our shoulders towards the end of 2010-11
5th May 2010 - Pools lost three points.
As expected, Pools were today docked three points by the Football League for fielding an ineligible player on Easter Monday. The club were given the penalty for playing Gary Liddle against Brighton after he'd picked up his tenth booking of the season on Easter Saturday at Leyton Orient. Obviously this throws the club back into the relegation dogfight after guarenteeing their survival last Saturday.
6th March 2010 - A threesy win for Pools.
A dominant perfrmance from Pools, and in particular recent loan signing Roy O'Donovan, condemn fellow strugglers Southend United to defeat at the Vic'. A hat-trick from O'Donovan secures a 3-0 victory, Pools' second home victory by three goals in a row.
6th February 2010 - Leeds lose leads as Pools pick up a point.
Pools come from behind twice to salvage a 2-2 draw against high flying Leeds United at the Vic'. A Goal from Adam Boyd and Antony Sweeney's injury time equaliser mean that the spoils are shared.
26th January 2010 - Pools fail to win again.
Pools end run of 3 defeats on the spin with a lacklustre 1-1 draw against fellow strugglers Gillingham at the Vic'.
23rd January 2010 - Another defeat on the road.
Pools come away from Bristol Rovers with their tails between their legs after a 0-2 defeat. The loss leaves the club only 4 points above the drop zone with 19 games to play in the 2009-10 season.
16th January 2010 - Heavy defeat for lacklustre United.
Milton Keynes Dons put Pools to the sword as they thrash Pools 0-5 at the Vic', United's worst home defeat since the 1-8 defeat to Plymouth Argyle on the last day of the 1993-94 season.
2nd January 2010 - Happy New Year for Pools.
The first game of the new decade ends with a battling 2-1 victory over Oldham Athletic. Goals from Richie Jones and Andy Monkhouse ensure victory despite Peter Hartley's late red card.
